(Tech News) The new Attach app gives you a tiny spy attached to presentations you send out, and it’s pretty cool.

Spreading your ideas online

The last few years have seen amazing technological innovations for the business world. It is now possible for us to create and elaborate on our ideas and share them with the masses.

With LinkedIn, Prezi, and YouTube, we can create and upload articles, presentations, and videos for the whole world to see. However, we don’t always know who is following our ideas. Now, thanks to Attach.io, we can find out who is exactly is watching our presentations.

“Know what happens to your presentation after you hit send” is the company’s vision for their innovation. The site is free to use and allows you to see statistics regarding your presentation.

What to expect with signing up

After signing up, you get a welcome message from the site, explaining how to utilize Attach. “Track your first presentation in 3 easy steps: 1. Upload and tag your presentation 2. Share the unique link with your viewer 3. Get notified when they open our presentation and see how they engage with it in real-time.”

There is then a tutorial about how to get the most out of Attach. The graphs and analysis will first tell you how many people viewed your presentation. Then, it will show you a bar graph representation of how much time was spent per slide by the viewer(s). It also gives you the date of the last time your presentation was viewed.

How Attach.io works

The overall idea of the site is simple and is beneficial for someone who would like detailed information about how their presentations are reviewed. Users will be also notified when their presentation is opened. Attach lets you know who opened it as well as who they forwarded it to. This is so you can improve the way you engage with your viewers.

The analysis used to examine how much time is spent per slide by the viewer lets the user know what content to focus on. The site’s “easy to use powerful features” include: Lead Insights where you can capture viewer detail and what they’re interested in, Content Analytics to see how well your content performs over time, Live Pitch where you can share your presentation with leads while you control what they see as you’re talking them through, and Multiple File Types that work with PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC, and DOCX.

One final note…

The site is a neat idea and will be useful for someone whose work is presentation-heavy. However it is unclear if viewer notification is based on whether or not the viewer is also an Attach user. The site did not expand on how exactly they obtain viewer information and you may not get the full scope of everyone who has reviewed your presentation.
