Keeping a calendar filled with appointments can be time consuming

These days, there is so much to keep track of on so little time. Now, I don’t know about you, but for me personally – if I don’t keep a calendar and to-do list of all of my appointments and tasks, nothing will get done.

And now with many different websites and apps that offer various calendar options, it is hard to decide which one is the most efficient for all of the important happenings in your life. Enter Calendly.

Calendly is an online calendar tool designated for appointment making. The site was developed by Tope Awotona who has a background in accounts and territories for software companies including IBM, Perceptive Software, ImageRight/Vertafore, and EMC.

Calendly operates alongside Google+ which makes for an incredibly easy sign-up. The system links with your Google+ account and allows you to select a Calendy URL that you can share with others to begin appointment-making.

Let others schedule their own appointments with you!

The easy-to-use platform claims that by using Calendy you can save between two and three minutes with every appointment you make. The tool gives you a dashboard where you can keep track of all appointments and connections.

With this system, you are able to interact with other users, called “invitees”, and you can schedule appointments with one another. Invitees, however, never have access to your dashboard and can only see your page with your given URL.

For appointment making, there are three given templates of 15, 30, and 60 minute intervals to make meeting-scheduling easier. However you can add, delete, or customize these templates to your liking.

Once you have selected a meeting time and length, you are able to customize the appointment by giving it a specified name and description. The description feature is nice for phone meetings because it allows you a space to include the phone number required for the meeting.

This could change scheduling forever

Invitees with access to your URL are then able to schedule appointments with you. The way Calendly works is that it shows the people you are connected with your availability so that they can schedule accordingly. This is another feature that is customizable, say if, for example, you want to block out an hour time frame each day for lunch.

In addition to Calendly being user-friendly, it is also free to join. There is an option for a premium package ($8/annually or $10/monthly) which offers unlimited event types and Google calendar integration.

If Calendly takes off, it would be a great tool for places such as doctors’ offices or salons where patients and clients can see all available appointments and schedule them at their leisure.
