ContractIQ is more than just a listings site

ContractIQ is an online platform where startups post brief recommendations on agencies that they trust and had a good experience with, so that others can discover their services. Founder, Ashwin Ramasamy, states that not everyone can evaluate an app development agency and ContractIQ offers a range of methods to ensure that their process is airtight.

For offline developers, ContractIQ calls, screens, and profiles them to ensure you are getting the best companies to work with. It is also difficult to find credible information about app development companies. Google may give you a good starting point, but it would be nice to hear from someone who already has experience with the company before you make your decision about using their services, and ContractIQ gives you that connection.

Ashwin states “so far we have validated about 200 agencies from ten countries and helped curate over thirty high-value product outsourcing transactions” and they hope this will increase as more users and developers become aware of the ContractIQ.

How ContractIQ works

First, you will browse through short or detailed agency profiles. You can see what their strengths and weaknesses are, as well as, their preferred engagement models and skills. Or, you can post a requirement. This allows you to detail your expectations and gives the agencies a way to start a conversation with you, since they can now see the vital project details. Next, you can shortlist agencies. You no longer get flooded with bids and messages after posting your requirement. You can select which agencies you most want to work with and go from there.

Afterwards, you can begin you conversation with interested agencies. You can keep this conversation simple, structured, and straight to the point, or more conference-style; it is completely up to you and you preferences. You will then receive estimations and proposals from agencies containing the price, timeline, and details in the form of snapshops. You can then review this information and make a decision. You can easily drop, or save an agency with a click and should you decide to drop an agency, ContractIQ sends a polite email informing them they have been dropped. No more correspondence, just business.

ContractIQ offers four levels of pricing: walk, run, fly, and teleport. Each gives you different features, for example, at the free level (“walk”) you can search up to fifty agencies, shortlist three agencies, but you cannot post advanced requirements nor have conversations about proposals. However, if you only need to search a few times to complete short projects, the free level could be just what you need. The other three levels increase in price and benefits, which you can see here. If you are tired of placing endless ads searching for the right app developer, only to have your mailbox flooded with replies from unqualified candidates, ContractIQ could be the answer.
