Be Gentle

Have you ever considered how being gentle with yourself and others can make an impact on life?  The simple act of being gentle can create happiness, improve your well being, create balance and uplift your spirit.  Honor yourself and others by treating everyone with gentleness, not only physically, but emotionally and see how much grander your world will become.

The Challenge

It can be so easy to get wrapped up in business, in the challenges of the changes that are in the world today, and in the everyday actions of life that it can be easy to forget to pay attention to the small acts of kindness that empower yourself and others.  In moments of frustration you might find yourself speaking harsh words directed inwardly.  You may realize as you are trying to drift off to sleep that you forgot to take the time do something nice for those you care about that day, and then curse yourself again.  Stop and be kind to yourself now!

A Gift

Being gentle is defined as being “considerate or kindly in disposition; amiable and tender”, and it also means to “raise to the status of being noble”.   Such an easy act to create such a powerful result!  When someone feels noble, they cannot help but treat others with even greater kindness.  What an amazing gift to give!  Wouldn’t it be wonderful to know that you contributed to making someone “noble”?  Wouldn’t you feel even more empowered knowing that you have been gentle and kind to yourself too?

Share Happiness

This weekend, I invite you to be extra gentle with yourself and those you meet.  Honor your needs and show a little extra consideration to a stranger.  See if by sharing a little gentleness you and your world become happier.

Nickie – Nice reminder to stop the busy rush, rush of daily life and think about how you are coming across to people too. Despite what you intend…. make sure you are being read as noble, gentle, kind.

  2. Jim Gatos says:

How can I be gentle with all the nasty people around me LOL.

Just kidding.. I’ll give it a shot. I’m stuck at home anyway; we just had a nasty 12 inch snowstorm.

    It’s a “Nor-easter!”…

Nickie – Kindness and gentleness go a long way in both business and pleasure.

Most of us are much more kind and gentle to others than we are to ourselves. When I make an effort to be gentle with myself, being gentle with others is a natural benefit of doing so.

I just posted on a similar avenue a bit ago:

I promised myself to practice a little more forgive and forget myself this season… I have done so, and have already been rewarded with less baggage & good feelings. It isn’t easy for some to do so; but in the majority of circumstances you will gain more than you give:)

  5. This would be the year for some forgiveness and compassion.

I think it’s time for all of us to give back.
