Shifu – intuitive task management

Shifu is a like a little sidekick that lives in your smartphone, helping you figure out how best to fill those spare moments of time we all get throughout the day.

Traditional to-dos work more like schedulers: “Call John at 12:30PM on the 6th of July and wish him happy birthday,” “remind me to upload photos,” and “remind me of a meeting on June 24th.” With Shifu, to-do become a matter of convenience; you can schedule your tasks in a way that mirror real life: “Call John to wish him a happy birthday whenever I have five minutes free on July 6th”, “upload photos the next time I am connected to Wi Fi,” and “remind me about the meeting as soon as I get home.” Instead of adjusting your life to the tool, let the tool integrate with your life.

Integrated with your social networks

Shifu can integrate with Facebook and Google+ sign ins. The app will track your context and when it recognizes you have a spare moment, it estimates how much free time you have and then suggests a relevant task. Tasks can range from returning a phone call, to wishing a friend “Happy Birthday,” all depending on your usage and preferences.

Shifu scans your call log, filters out important phone call from it and reminds you to return those calls when you are free. It also connects to your Facebook account and reminds you to call/text friends on their birthdays, when you are free. With Shifu’s location based alerts, you can set task item to show up only when you are near a certain location: for example, the dry cleaners.

You can also set alerts based on your Wi Fi network, so Shifu will know what tasks are attached to your work Wi Fi and which are attached to your home. This can help to further simplify your scheduling.

Once you decide which tasks you need to complete, you can access them at any time, on any device because Shifu automates seamless synchronization in the cloud. Currently, the app is only available for Android users in the Google Play Store.
