free wifi Free Wi Fi at Starbucks

Finally, AT&T will be offering free wi-fi at Starbucks. This means for the majority of us who prefer to office out of the Starbucks as an alternative to our own offices or homes, we will no longer have to pay for the additional air card each month. Now that $70 to Sprint will be going straight into our office management fund (aka Starbucks fund).

Now, Starbucks customers will get 2 hours of free internet daily and have the option to purchase more time or sign up for a monthly plan with AT&T. Great news for existing AT&T internet customers- you get unlimited free access to the wi-fi service!

Looks like my visits to Starbucks will be two hours long now! How will this change YOUR life?

    That’s excellent. Hadn’t heard about that. I got a sticker with my web address on it to stick on my laptop for just this occasion. The sticker is still in the envelope though. :{

    I recently read and related to what Pat K. wrote about here: http://transparentre.com/2008/01/31/free-the-net.aspx . Good thing starbucks has finally become less short-sighted.

    I’m happy to hear that Starbucks will be making the switch. I work from my home office a lot and have found myself heading into the office more this winter (I’m in New Jersey) just to get out from behind my desk. I love the coffee and I’m sure I’ll be parking myself in the corner table in no time!

  4. Good move on their part. How much does it cost these day to throw a business DSL line in and a wireless hub… $30 per month. Great perk!

  5. I had sworn off SB for a while. I was considering dumping ATT dsl until I read this post, McDonalds, Check, Starbucks, Check. What more could a fat guy ask for?

  6. Jeff Brown says:

    In what year of our Lord will this be accomplished?
