It’s tutorial time

One of my favorite tools is the FREE Postlets.com listing marketing tool. This system is very easy to use and will help saturate the internet with great marketing venues for your listings. I’ve put together a quick tutorial to help you get started:

I tried Postlets and I was unimpressed. May I ask WHY you liked it? I am NOT being adverserial, I’m really curious. I just didn’t see the point of it..

    Thanks

Hey Jim, thanks for stopping by! I think Matt answered your question in the intro to his tutorial, “this system is very easy to use and will help saturate the internet with great marketing venues for your listings.”

We’ve also used Postlets in the past and for example, we found it to be a great alternative to the bland Craigslist standardized text ad.

Since Postlets didn’t work out for you, have you found an alternative that readers could look into?

  3. Jim Gatos says:

Suppose not.. I don’t really use Craigslist. I do intend to in the future, just never got into it.. If it’s a way to spice up a Craigslist posting, I suppose I’ll give it a shot. This isn’t another “thing” you have to pay for, right?

It’s been soooo long since I’ve been on Postlets, I should go there again.. Maybe later, after I’ve blogged, responded in kind, etc, etc etc…

I use Vflyer because the support is amazing and Aaron graduated from U of M.

They are similar but I just feel in love with VFlyers and have received leads and inquiries from it. I use it on craigslist too and you are right it gives a much better presentation for buyers.

you cannot use postlets on craigslist!! they will get flagged and pulled off. read the terms of use before you get sucked into postlets. they’re ok for making hotsheets, though.

How do you post postlets on Facebook?

  7. The back end of my company website generates Craigslist ads for us. It’s free, but not terribly customizable. Still, I use it. I get more click throughs to my site from Craigslist than from any other syndication site. Way more. In the past month I’ve gotten 45 blog page views that came from Craigslist (only 20 from Trulia, 7 from R.com and 4 from Zillow). I post each listing every two weeks.

I also ad a little free tracking code from craigslistadtracker.com to see how many views I’m getting on Craigslist. Lately in getting 400-500 views a month depending on how many listings I have (right now I have four listings). This is a really cool tool. You can see the IP addresses/city locations of people viewing the properties. A report is emailed to me weekly.

Some neighborhoods get more attention on Craigslist. My listing in affordable, and up and coming East Nashville get WAY more views that the luxury home in the Hendersonville suburb.

However, I’ve never actually sold to or converted a Craigslist lead. Anyone having success with that?
