Creative marketing, 2012 style
When it comes to advertising, marketing, and outreach, businesses have to get creative. While there are tried and true methods that many companies use, these methods can easily become mundane, boring, and worn out. Instead, consider adding something new, innovative, fun, and unique into the mix. And don’t think this means you have to use up all of your budget. You don’t. There is a solution that allows you to customize what you need, and therefore, customize how much you spend, and the solution may not be what you expect. Introducing Instagram photo books.
One popular social sharing site is Instagram, and chances are you already use this for either personal or professional use. You can now choose your best photos from Instagram and print a professional-looking book. But you don’t have to just keep it for your own perusal. It can actually be a great marketing tool. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Marketing ideas for an Instagram photo book
Behind the Scenes – Customers like to see the personal and personable side of companies. There are too many corporations out there that seem heartless, mechanical, and harsh. This can intimidate potential customers. Ultimately, customers want to do business with companies that care about them and care about the human experience in general. So, create a behind-the-scenes photo book of your office, your employees, and your humanitarian endeavors. Show the softer side of who you are as a business owner and as a brand.
Mini Catalog – If your business is based on a multitude of products, consider creating a mini catalog to act as a teaser to the full-sized catalog. Use your beautiful photos and your beautiful products to create a uniquely inspiring photo book that represents your brand. Pick your most engrossing products and showcase them proudly. You can send these photo books out to current customers or strategically place them in the lobbies of partnering or complementary businesses—with permission, of course.
Featured Book of Clients and Projects – You could use this photo book as a professional portfolio. Showcase your best work and your most loyal customers. This could also encourage more clients to sign up with you, just so they can make it into your photo book. After all, they’ll appreciate the marketing that comes along with this type of project.
The cost of Instagram photo books
There are two basic price points for ordering one or many Instagram photo books. You can either choose the 8.5 x 5.5 or the 5.5 x 5.5 paperback booklets. They each begin at forty pages, but you can add more pages for an additional fee per page. The larger book starts out about $25, with extra pages costing $0.55 each. The smaller booklet will run you just under $11 and each additional page after the forty costs a quarter per page. Hardback books start at $69 for 50 pages.
No matter if you want to print just a handful of photo books or you want to place a massive order, you can compile your Instagram photos into a beautiful, visual, and tangible experience that perfectly reflects the best parts of your brand.
