The Top Five Wealthiest Cities:

- San Jose, CA
- Anchorage, AK
- San Francisco, CA
- San Diego, CA
The Top Five Poorest Cities:
- Detroit, MI
- Cleveland, OH
- Miami, FL
- Buffalo, NY
- Pittsburgh, PA

I grew up in AK, see: high median income, no state income tax, you’re paid a couple thousand a year to live there. Believe me, not worth it.
Lani – I think this is fascinating stuff, thanks for sharing. It sort of blows my mind as well because I’m not that far from a very poor city which isn’t on that list and usually isn’t on lists of this nature. But I see what the conditions are like there and just can’t imagine what it must be like for folks in the top five poorest cities.
Hmmm…gives new meaning to “Cleveland Rocks!”, huh? Thanks for sharing…
I think it all evens out when you realize that your money doesn’t go to far if you live in one of the “wealthy” cities.
