2008 NAR Buyer/Seller Profile Announced
In August 2008, the National Association of Realtors received questionnaire results from 10,053 home buyers and sellers who transacted between July 2007-June 2008 which resulted in the 2008 NAR Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. The most surprising result is that first-time buyers have risen in market share and say they plan to own their homes longer than buyers in the past.
I’ve bullet-pointed the report for you since it’s really really long, so click here to check it all out- the study presented a LOT of surprises, so make sure to read it so you know what’s going on in the wonderful world of real estate.

To think that I used to actually pay $50 + shipping for this information. The booklet would sit on my desk for about a year (unread) before I moved it.
I got more out of your analysis than I ever did out of the booklet. So now I am glad we paid for dinner that first time.
Russell, I hope you made it over to news to read, we’ve broken it down to bullets- very very telling stuff in there- lots to write about!
It will take some time to digest all these statistics looking for various ways to use the information to serve clients better.
