Twitter From Your Browser Address Bar
TwitterBar Is an Application, Not a Biker Bar
Sometimes when you’re short on time but feel the itch to tell everyone “what you are doing” via Twitter, it’s a hassle to open up Tweet Deck or open a new tab in your browser, but if you download TwitterBar, a simple Firefox application, all you have to do is type your Twitter update into the URL address bar and instead of hitting “enter” there is a Twitter button you push to instantly broadcast.
Time savers are important and not just for lazy people. I don’t always have time to look at or even open my Twitter application but I do want to tell people “I’m running late, I’ll be at Serrano’s Restaurant in 30″ (because many people we run with are on Twitter).
Start spreading the news...

A cool use for this would be to keep your local blog or website signed in on firefox and broadcast cool links of interest you find, allowing you to keep your twitter application open to your personalized account. I find it frustrating logging into several different screenames. This is a pretty cool app.
I’ve used TwitterBar for months and absolutely love it. It has been a wonderful addition to my Twitter arsenal. Makes it extremely easy to send out links of things you want to share.
TwitterFox does much the same thing, resting int the FF status bar until needed. It also shows replies and DM’s, while TwitterBar is only for posting tweets, but I do see the convenience of being able to tweet the URL you’re currently on just by clicking the gray icon. Anyway, I pretty much have TweetDeck open 24/7 and use that the most.
Damn, I thought someone actually opened a twitter bar…
