Yoono an Easy Way to Manage Your Social Network
Yoono is a FireFox add on.
Managing your social life on line is time consuming. I am a Realtor first, a blogger second and one who uses social media to enhance my relationships on line.
Yoono has helped me simplify that. What Yoono does is allow all many of the social networks to run on the page you are working on.
Some of the features I like best are:
- re-tweets are easy
- all your groups on twitter show up
- facebook you can like, or comment right back
- you can upload photos
- if you are busy and don’t want to be distracted by glancing over you can hide the app to stay focused.
- Linkedin is also there to give comments and updates too.

Missy, I really like Yoono, it is a quick and easy way to keep the pulse of what is going on in your world without having to dedicate all of your screen real estate to FB, Twitter or whichever is your app(s) of choice. Especially that it supports so many apps. Very good description…
How does this compare to Seismic?
BB, I have not used Seesmic, but I know Mike Mueller does. I used tweet deck and I like Yoono because it doesn’t take up my whole screen so I can work on projects and it is there for me to glance at.
Maybe someone here can chime in and comment. It would be nice to compare users experiences of both.
@BrokerBryant: how “in your face” do you want Twitter to be?
I’ve used Seesmic, Tweetdeck, Hootsuite et al, on their desktop and mobile client forms; plus browser add ons like Yoono. To me, the full experience, trending tracking and their ability to work in the background – much like browser plug-ins – is why TD and HS work for me. It’s a matter of personal preference.
I’m looking for a new way to manage social media, thanks for the tip Missy.
