Got Caught With My Pants Down & My Ink Dry? What Is My Next Move?

Falling On Your Sword Got Caught With My Pants Down & My Ink Dry? What Is My Next Move? When The Jig Is Up

When caught, you have one chance and one smart choice.

Fall on your sword, come correct and confess. Get it over with and get on with it.  You better be sincerely-sincere.  If you Run silent-Run-Deep, pretend-sorry, spit excuses or blame, you’re screwed.

In that spirit…

Seppuku City

I must confess.  My time and attention have strayed.  My sensibilities about commitment and responsibility have been seduced by the  muse of Christmas Spirit, Family Warmth, Holiday Cheer and New Year Celebration.

Confession

What I shoulda done.  What I’m supposed to do.  What I’ve committed to do.  What I love doing, although at times it’s painful.  Painful as in, tortured- amateur-writer-questions-his-ability-to-write-anthing-worth-a-crap (get a life Ken) painful.  What I shoulda done, is have an original thought to post.  Something of value.  Something worth reading…and maybe sharing.

Instead, I have this.  My sincere apologies. No excuses.  No complaining. No blaming.  A short explanation to add context and jump start the healing process.  I see the error of my ways.  I will strive to do better and not let it happen again. My bad, please forgive my misfire. Etc., Etc….

Thank You, Happy New Year and Cheers.

I appreciate you in many ways and at unexpected times.

  3. Ken Brand says:

Ok friends, go ahead. You’ll feel better if you confess all. Do it right here. Do it now. Do it like you mean it.

    cheers

  4. I confess that I have no clue what you are talking about. What exactly are you confessing? Did you also sleep with Tiger Woods? Spending time with the family during the holidays is not exactly something to apologize for, just my opinion. ?

  5. Ken Brand says:

For the record @HoustonBlogger, I did not sleep with Tiger Woods, and family fun is NO cause for Confession. Would have liked to share something more interesting. Next weeks post is titled: Is My Social Media Butt Too Big? I’ll be back in the saddle then. By the way, do you know ze Tiger;-) Does he talk to you?

    • Ken – will be interesting to see how men vs. women answer the “is my butt too big” question. It’s one for the ages …

Yea, since 70ish% of our Realtor Nation is female, I thought I play with fire:-) I learned that you’re supposed to have a sharp angle of approach when writing. Hopefully my sharp angle isn’t a complete face-plant. cheers.

  6. Ok, I thought you were apologizing for lack of posts b/c of time spent with family. Just so you know, I think your posts are always interesting. And, no your social media butt is not too big, it’s just the wide angle mirror your looking in. (That’s what I tell myself about my a$$). I don’t know ze Tiger. Thank God. He finally stopped harassing me. lol.

  7. Benn Rosales says:

lol just what I needed on a Monday morning, @houstonblogger ‘s got that Texan spunk we love around here!

  8. Jeff says:

Actually, Ken, that was an original thought. Or at least an original take on an oh-so-true but oft-overlooked thought. Thanks for sharing and happy New Year!

  9. Greg Cooper says:

So my ADD got the best of me on this post and when I saw the AG tweet I came on and skimmed the comments. Here’s what I got: We’re worried about the size of social media butts and apparently no one on this site has slept with Tiger Woods. I checked the NY Post’s 2010 monthly ‘Tiger’s babes’ calendar yesterday to make certain. .

All BS aside I actually love posts like this because they let others see a bit of who we really are…even in the midst of some gentle humor. Glad I’m not the only one who struggles some with a bit of self loathing when it comes to the quality of a post. Good stuff Ken!
