I actually use the term consultant in my business and make that very clear to potential clients. Some decide to choose another agen/t/broker but most already know this fact and are grateful to be working with someone who isn't afraid to put the facts on the table. My customer service styles echoes this attitude and leaves most of my local competition scratching their heads in disbelief. I completely agree that we are not salespeople anymore.
