Two reasons to watch this video: (1) it’s awesome and if you can recreate this kind of humor as you implement video in your real estate practice, I’ll be super proud to say I know you and (2) it may help you San Franciscans find office space….

  1. It’s not that bad to find space in San Francisco…..okay, maybe it is a little difficult. Thanks Lani!

  2. Fun little clip. And I bet their budget for shooting it was probably pretty minimal – 1 trip to a thrift store would acquire most of the props that they used (beyond the laptop). I’d be curious how much traffic they picked up to that site by persons typing it directly (which is something that should be able to be tracked).

  3. It also goes to show the power of visuals, you don’t need a lot of words to get a powerful message across.

This is hilarious! And reminds me much of how I feel at times. Starbucks, Panera Bread, Whole Foods, Bongo Java, Sip Cafe and MY CAR are many of my satellite offices. There is hardly anything you can’t do with a laptop and a wifi network or wireless card. Many a contract used to be written on the hood of my car with my printer plugged in to a dc converter (especially in the sellers market hay day). Now I’ve converted to tablet style contract writing but still do it in coffee shops or wherever is convenient for my clients to meet. I’ve often wondered when Panera Bread was going to start charging me rent!

Great clip – funny how something so simple and a challenge from Lani has my brain working overtime to create something cool and unique. I bet this is making the rounds SF and the real estate community. I, too would love to see the stats.

  6. Well I guess this guy really needs an office. I bet he saves a lot of money but not having to pay rent. This actually brought a smile to my face. Thanks for helping me get through my day.

  7. Brad Nix says:

This is a great video and shows what clever people can do with a tight budget. Let’s hope this is true for the commercial search portal as well. They are up against big fish: LoopNet and CoStar

  8. Benn Rosales says:

This guy reminded me of the mobile agent that refuses to pay higher broker fees for office space. The disintermediation continues…

  9. Yep — saw it and got some good ideas from it…

  10. I need to figure out how to be that guy and stop wasting time on office space!

  11. Nick Peskoe says:

Funny…As a relatively new ‘mobile agent’ this video resonates with me.
