Improving how consumers reach professionals
Designed to instantly match local professionals who bid on needs with consumers seeking services, MiNeeds.com aims to improve the process so that consumers don’t have to initiate contact, negotiate costs or play phone tag, rather their new text-to-speech system alerts MiNeeds professionals to new in-bound leads and enables them to record and send an immediate proposal via phone.
The company says they recently surpassed 50,000 registered professionals and in the last 90 days has matched over 280,000 consumers with local services, up 14 times the volume of this time last year. The average winning bid is roughly $1,100 which they say is over $308 million in services generated for small businesses.
Adding Bridget to the lineup
This month, they added “Bridget,” a voice technology feature that “revolutionizes the way customers find local services. And for local services and professionals, what could be better than hearing, “Greetings from MiNeeds, we have a new customer for you! Here’s what the customer needs,” said Raed Malhas, MiNeeds.com co-founder and CEO.
When a customer posts a need for a professional service on MiNeeds.com, Bridget will instantly call the professional to alert them of a new potential customer. They can then submit a proposal by voice over the phone, and Bridget will instantly “bridge” calls between customers and professionals. Missed in-bound audio leads are queued by the system — Bridget only calls once and then leaves a voicemail — enabling professionals to replay and respond when it’s most convenient.
Businesses showcase their services on MiNeeds.com with profiles defined by specialty and location, including pictures, videos, work samples, testimonials, reviews, and past bids/contracts won at MiNeeds.com, without taking a commission, rather offer a paid pro version wherein “Express Package” professionals receive priority notification.
