The winner is…
We’ve shared with you the website Photography for Real Estate and their global photographer directory as a shortcut for finding amazing photographers and monthly we share with you their “Best of the Best” contest which names the best photograph in the PFRE Flickr pool each month via vote of real estate photographer peers.
In sharing the monthly winners, we are not only introducing you to new real estate photography talent across the nation (and hopefully in some readers’ back yards), but to insist that the bar be raised in real estate photography. It is well known that many Realtors take their own photos, but most (not all) are fairly bad, not to mention that even in the real estate photography field, there are a lot of untalented photographers taking peoples’ money. By seeing higher quality images, it gives you an idea what you should be looking for as you hire a photographer and we encourage you to reach out to the winner if they are in your city.
This month’s winner is Ron Kenny with the assistance of Puget Sound Aerial Imaging of Seattle, WA whose photo is featured above (click here for the back story of the photo and click the image above for a larger view).
Ron Kenny told PFRE, “this image is a joint effort between myself and Chad Douglas at Puget Sound Aerial. Chad flew the R/C Helicopter and I controlled the camera, I was able to see the images that the camera was taking via a video downlink.”
Other amazing photos in the contest
Taking a moment to flip through the PFRE Flickr group might have you questioning the quality of your listing photos or perhaps challenging you to revamp some of your photos on your current listings or maybe updating your flyers.
Here are just a few of the amazing entries that were voted upon:
